Airi Shimizu 清水あいり
Shimizu Airi (born December 17, 1992) is a Japanese actress, variety talent, and former gravure idol. She is from Hirakata, Osaka Prefecture. She is affiliated with TRUSTAR. Before changing her stage name to her current one, she was active under the names "Hirayama Airi" and "Kurose Airi".
In 2007, she was scouted when she graduated from junior high school and joined M's World. She debuted as Hirayama Airi. She was selected at an audition for the movie "Aino Kokoro" and played her first leading role as Okita Ai.
In 2009, she was active as a member of the Tokyo Yakult Swallows dance unit "Swallows Wings" (now Passion).
After that, she moved to an agency with the intention of working in gravure, but the agency she was affiliated with caused a scandal and she was unable to move for a while, but when her contract expired, she became a freelancer.
On April 14, 2012, she changed her stage name to Kurose Airi. In September, she moved to Fantastar (a Vismic affiliate) and changed her name to Shimizu Airi. The reason for the name change was "because the agency changed." While working as a talent and actress, she also actively participates in photo shoots as a gravure idol.
On September 7, 2013, she formed the idol unit "PINE", named by Konno Anna. On January 3, 2014, the unit's name was changed to "PINE∞". On April 4, 2016, it was announced that they would become the new PINE.
On February 6, 2014, the music video "Program ni Nitteru Kilogram" was released under the name "FANTA☆STAR" (Konno Anna, Mizuki Tama, Shimizu Airi, Ikeda Airi). In October, she appeared on the TV program "Zenryokuzaka" (TV Asahi), in which idols run up the hills of Tokyo at full speed. According to Men's Cyzo (Cyzo Co., Ltd.), "Shimizu's casual clothes, but her boobs bouncing as she runs, are attracting attention online as being 'erotic.'"
After appearing on AbemaTV programs such as "Mousou Monday," her work has changed from 100% gravure to "90% variety, 10% gravure."
Honsha Vismic, her agency, closed its business and was transferred to the newly established production company "TRUSTAR," so she has been affiliated with the company since October 2019.
In December 2020, she was appointed as the 12th promotional ambassador for the condom "Sagami Original 002" of condom manufacturer Sagami Rubber Industries.
On July 11, 2024, she announced her marriage on her Instagram. Regarding her partner, she wrote that he is not a celebrity, but "he is a Japanese man." She has not mentioned that she will retire from being a gravure idol due to her marriage, but in recent years she has not been active as a gravure idol and has mainly been working as a variety show talent.
Person
She learned Ryukyu Karate from the age of 3 to 12, and won the Kinki Tournament (kata division), achieving her first dan rank. She won the tournament three times in a row from the sixth grade of elementary school to the second grade of junior high school.
After graduating from junior high school, she moved to Tokyo from Osaka at the age of 15 because her older sister was in Tokyo, but she often spent her days off alone, watching movies and going to cafes. This was due to the fact that she had no money during her high school days, and she later revealed stories of her poverty, when she had to turn down invitations from friends to hang out and had to survive on 10-yen snacks for lunch.
The few years after she started working as a gravure idol at the age of 20 were the poorest, and she was not able to work part-time freely due to the nature of the sudden jobs she got. She says that her income started to stabilize about 10 years after her debut.
Hobbies: Listening to music (Japanese and Western), watching movies, getting drenched in sweat, Krav Maga.
Special skills: Impersonating a yakuza wife, creative dance, Ryukyu karate (first dan), kickboxing.

On August 4, 2020, she challenged herself to break 100 boards with punches and kicks on her own video channel.
She has said that wearing a car seat belt is painful because of the size of her breasts.
When she appeared on "Entertainment World Common Sense Check! ~What kind of meat is Toriniku!?~" (Asahi Broadcasting Corporation/TV Asahi, broadcast on February 16, 2021), she was introduced in the introductory video as "the Sakata Toshio of the gravure world," and since then, she has used that as her catchphrase.
