• On September 21, 2003, she made her AV debut with "Virgin Palace -natural-" under the name of Hikaru Koto. Until around July of the following year, she worked as an exclusive AV actress for h.m.p. Although she has been active for less than a year, she has sold over 1 million copies and is the youngest and shortest member of the Hall of Fame. In 2012, she was voted 6th in a popularity poll held as part of the adult video 30th anniversary project (AV30). She was held in 2019, and she gained popularity so much that she was nominated for Kobunsha's "Heisei's Strongest AV Actress! The Largest Ranking Ever".
• In early 2008, Hikaru's video diary (later changed to 'cotorich's video diary', now 'COTORICH') was suddenly published on her YouTube as her video blog. Although she has not made a clear statement from herself, she is reported to be the same person as "Hikaru Koto".
• From the beginning of 2009, as part of her creative activities, she began to publish her works, which she took of various subjects with her own hands, on her official blog. In the fall of the same year, she released her self-produced photo book "COTORINRI" as an extension of those works.
• In the summer of 2010, she started her music career as an indie artist and released her debut song "I LOVE YOU" online. Since then, she has released 6 songs by 2012, and was featured in the disc guide "Idol Song Chronicle" (Music Magazine) by Go Yoshida and others.
• From August 2010, she also started a video blog called "Tokyo Genki" on YouTube. In October of the same year, she won the Excellence Award at the 14th Comprehensive Photography Exhibition sponsored by the International College of Culture. She will start publishing makeup videos on YouTube from around the fall of the same year. She has tried makeup for Lady Gaga, Hatsune Miku, AKB48, etc.
• In October 2011, she debuted on Niconico Live under the name of Kotrich.
• In December 2011, she appeared on Tokyo Kawaii★TV (NHK).
• In March 2012, she appeared in a talk show at the Tokyo International Anime Fair 2012 "Kimi Tomo Kanojo ha Tsutsui Hajime" booth.
• In 2016, she started streaming LINE LIVE in October and won the "LINE LIVE OF THE YEAR 2016" award.
• Her activities on YouTube have been on hiatus since August 2012, but she resumed her activities in November 2016.

• 2003年9月21日、古都ひかる名義で『処女宮 −natural−』でAVデビュー。翌年7月頃まで、h.m.pの専属AV女優として活動。 1年に満たない活動期間ながら、セールス100万本を突破し最年少最短殿堂入り。2012年、アダルトビデオ30周年記念企画（AV30）として行われた人気投票で6位選出。2019年開催、光文社「平成最強のAV女優は誰だ！史上最大ランキング」にノミネートされるほどの人気を得た。
• 2008年初頭、YouTubeで突如ビデオブログとして「ひかるのビデオ日記（後に「cotorichのビデオ日記」、現在の「COTORICH」に変更）」を公開。本人から明言はされていないものの、「古都ひかる」と同一人物として報道されている。
• 2009年初頭から、クリエイター活動の一環として公式ブログにて自らの手で様々な被写体を撮影した作品の公開を始める。同年秋、それらの延長線として自主制作による写真集『COTORINRI』を発表。
